About Bingotitis

Why Bingo?
Why? Because that's my name, at least my nick name that is. I don't really know what were my parents thinking when they nicknamed me Bingo! I haven’t really got the chance of asking them though I don’t really have any intentions of asking them either, for one thing, I might not like what I hear so better to leave it at that. Bingo, as I’ve been told could be named after the popular Bingo game, it is also a very common name for a pet dog, just like that of Old McDonald's. Or it could also pertain to a EUREKA moment where in you just got to shout and say BINGO! For whatever reason, I am stuck with this name. Though I don't really fancy it too much but I don't hate it either!

Why Bingotitis?
Bingo, because that’s my name. What’s with Titis? Well I derived it from “titis”, the medical suffix for an inflammation. So if you say, pancreatitis, that's the inflammation of your pancreas. Appendicitis for inflammation of your appendix. So when you have Bingotitis that means you have an inflammation of your Bingo... So better look yourself in the mirror (best after taking a shower and your naked) and inspect your bingo... Just to be sure! :p

What do I do for a Living?
I am a Registered Nurse, and I used to work as an Operating Room Nurse for a large Government Hospital in Southern Philippines. I worked with that Hospital for two years, though I like the people I worked with but the job was very exhausting and demanding. Being a government hospital we cater to the masses, and since we can never refuse an admission, that leads to overcrowding and having patients over the hospital’s capacity. So working in a government hospital is pretty lame, we were underpaid, overworked and understaffed. So I quit. Now, I’m enjoying solitude at its best! For now, I’m officially unemployed—a bummer in bummerville bumming what bummers do.

What are your plans now?
For now, I intend to enjoy the fruits of my labor, and that is quitting my previous job. I have no plans of going back and surely no plans of looking for another job, at least in the near future.  For the whole duration of summer I plan to just gallivant and be blithe and gay. I aspire to get wasted and get laid every day of the week and another round for the evenings.
However, as much as I want to be blithesome and buoyant for the rest of my life—that just can’t be. First, I have no Trust Fund to finance my lifestyle and caprices. Second, I have no plans of being unemployed, unproductive and a burden to both my parents and the state.
I plan on taking up medicine this June. I’m know that Medicine is a long years of study but I am confident and determined to pursue a career in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery! But that’s still a long shot so wish me luck!
